about

On June 6, 1983, a young boy was riding his bicycle home from a piano lesson. He was sitting on his bike at a red traffic light. When the traffic light turned green, he began to peddle forward into the intersection. The driver of a garbage truck did not see the boy. The fully loaded garbage truck turned, hit, drug, and ran over him. This young boy was me.

I am an artist living in Chicagoland. My favorite tools are a camera (photography), a computer (printmaking), and a palette knife (painting).

It is my firm belief that every artist expresses both joy and pain through their artwork. Sometimes these feelings come from specific events. Sometimes these feelings come from within. Regardless of their origin, these emotions make powerful art. The world around me and the world within me are sources of inspiration for my art.
